Chowing down

This video shows the typical Bella feeding: quietly sucking down her milk and grabbing onto objects (in this instance, her face) that get near her hands. Nice drool down the cheek too.

First week without Dad at home

This week is almost over and we’ve all made it thru.  A big week for her:  She’ll be 1 month old tomorrow, this is her first week with her Daddy back to work, she has her first little stuffy nose and Daddy has to spend the his first night away from her.  She smiled several times while Paul and I were telling each other good night over the phone so I know she misses her Daddy too.  Her head control is coming right along, she can lift her head and look right at my face when she’s having a little tummy time on my chest.  It’s so beautiful!  She also plays with the toys on her chair triggering the rattle and ding on the butterflies.  She attempted sitting up straight a couple of times this week too.  Hopefully our sleep tonight will be better than last night-we hate using the nose sucker on her so I hope the stuffy nose passes soon.  We both look forward to seeing Daddy again tomorrow and getting in some cuddly snuggly time…

Bella has discovered that her fingers make yummy little treats. Soon after this, she would move on to master sucking on her thumb and, in some cases, her entire fist.
