Father’s Day

So Paul’s first has come and gone and he says it didn’t feel any different.  But soon you’ll see the photos of he and Bella dressed up and ready to head out for a celebration dinner and you can see in his eyes what a proud, loving and happy Daddy he is.  I know you’ve read that he’s gotten spit up and pooped on-well, yesterday was my day except she got me worse than she had Paul.  The really gushy, warm feeling and all.  Not quite as gross out as I had imagined I’d be.  She’s practicing her focusing and tummy time already and Paul has been feeding her from a bottle (still breastmilk) about once a day and she hasn’t had any trouble switching from the bottle back to breastfeeding-she is brilliant and talented beyond her days after all.

So it looks like the POD was a little over-zealous; it’s actually hard to find cute pictures that look significantly different from one another on a day-to-day basis.  So I think I’m going to rename it Picture of the Week (POW) and if that still runs the well dry we’ll have to move to Pic of the Month.

Yum, yum – eat 'em up

7 pounds 13 ounces.  On June 8, she weighed 7,3; five days later she’s piled on 10 ounces.  Regained her body weight and then some in 12 days!  My girl is a little overachiever

I was messing around with the settings of the blog and I think I accidentally subscribed all the users of this site to the Bella, Info, and Web Update categories. What I think this means is that everytime I make a blog entry that is in one of these categories you will receive an email letting you know.
I am the type of person that doesn’t like receiving a lot of superfluous emails and I’m sure there are others like me so I wanted to apologize to you if you’re like me. You can login to your profile on the blog and then unsubscribe from the categories if you wish; I can do a blanket unsubscribe but I can’t do user by user – some of you may already have been subscribed so I don’t want to go in and make it worse.

On the bright side, if you’re still interested in what’s going on with Bella, you should get updated whenever I or April make posts in the blog. At this point in Bella’s short life, I expect the blog posts to be descriptions of what is new on the website and short informational things April and I think are worth writing down.

One week old!

It’s hard to imagine that a week has already flown by – it just seems like a blur of feedings, diaper changes, sleeping, and little surprises.

Saw the pediatrician today; she said everything is great. Bella’s weight dropped from 7-6 to 6-13 when we left the hospital June 3rd; was up to 6-15 on June 6; and is up to 7-3 today. Daddy’s little princess can eat!

It was bound to happen

Yesterday I got puked on; today I got pooped on. And I didn’t mind. I’m obviously going nuts.

So here’s Bella at 6 days old. We planned on keeping Bella all to ourselves for the first two weeks for bonding but it’s pretty hard to tell your Mom she can’t come and see her granddaughter….. Pretty funny how the bottle is bigger than Bella.

Next planned site updates will be a movie page as well as a new photo collection called Picture of the Day. The pic of the day will be the cutest shot we got from a specific day – cute as defined by your esteemed judges: Mom and Dad.
