Bella's sweet moment with Daddy

Bella does say Hi Dad and Where’s Dad and tons of other stuff for her Dad (no, I am not jealous at all) but when it comes to kisses, she really does save them all for me and Dad has to steal them all the time. By this I mean that when I ask for Bella to ‘Give Mama kiss’, she turns to me with a smile in her eyes and mouth wide open, ready for doling out kisses to her Mama. When her Dad asks for kisses, she either gives them to me or ignores his request.
When we had all gotten ready for church this morning, I was getting her hat and bag ready to take downstairs when all of the sudden, Paul comes over to us very slowly. He reaches out his hand with his thumb and forefinger in the pincher grasp that Bella does all the time. He puts those poised fingers close to her mouth so he can place it in her mouth for her to eat. As soon as she greedily opened her mouth to consume whatever her Dad was giving her, he dove in for a big kiss. Boy, she laughed and laughed cuz her Daddy used one of her own tricks on her to steal kisses. (If you recall in a past post, she uses the pincher grasp with us so that we’ll remove the fake hair from her grasp and she immediately takes our hand so she can use us to help her walk around-silly punkin’)

On Bella’s actual birthday we had a very small celebration for Bella (read, boring). We let her play with a strawberry cheesecake and terrorized her with our awful singing. All in all, she had fun.
Birthday #2

The birthday weekend with just Momma and Dadda was not quite as exciting as weekend #1 but the cake was better. Momma pulled out a strawberry cheesecake and let it warm to room temperature before letting me dig into it. I gave the big strawberry chunks to Dadda but I tried to keep all the cheesecake parts for myself, that stuff was YUMMY. I think I heard Momma say something about not serving cake to me so late next time since I didn’t want to go to sleep that night after dinner. Can you blame me? I was high on love and sugar-if I could’ve run at the time, I would’ve been spinning out of control that night, but since I couldn’t, I just whined and cried a lot. I know Momma and Dadda understood because they were really patient and loving with me the whole time.
They bought me a sun canopy for the wagon so I don’t get so hot or sunburned when they take me for a spin around the neighborhood. I felt like a princess with my drink in the cup holder on one side and my snacks in a cup on the other side. I could eat and drink whenever I wanted and stay cool while doing it. I don’t know why people complain about going for a walk because I looooove it!
