These are the moments we cherish…
October 18th, 2009 Posted 10:34 pm
Bella and I got our flu shots on Wednesday afternoon. I left work early, picked up Bella and went to the doctor’s office across the street from the school. While we waited, she enjoyed playing with the children in the waiting room but watching her work the room of children and adults was really something to behold. What a social butterfly she is-oh no, stranger danger-yes, I was watching her carefully as I always do because she is such a friendly child. I told her what to expect with the shot a few times so she’d understand what was going on once we got in there. They finally called our name and she jumped from my lap proudly announcing it was her turn. (more…)

Tractor Pull/Show
October 18th, 2009 Posted 10:23 pm
We were invited to go to a tractor pull in the next town over and it seemed pretty silly at first. However, it’s similar to a monster truck show, you won’t know you like it til you’re there
. There were more tractors there than I would’ve imagined and at first Bella seemed overwhelmed with it all. Either that or she was freezing her batooty off like I was. After we got some good ribs in our belly’s (yes, Bella ate most of mine and half of my sweet tea and fries-hey, she wouldn’t be our daughter if she didn’t like ribs!), we were nice and warm on the inside and ready to challenge the rest of the show. We saw other vendors there showing their old tools, engines and general stuff. Grandma Duck would be happy to know we saw some stuff there as old (if not older) than she is. She probably used some of that when she was a little girl. (more…)
